Having been a client of Grace Lane’s for a number of years, I have experienced directly the hugely positive impact these wonderful folks have had on not just my portfolio, but my life as a whole. Their life-centered planning approach really resonates with me and I am experiencing the benefits directly. When an opportunity came up to work with them and be a part of their journey, I couldn’t pass it up.
I graduated from Baylor University in Waco, Texas with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting and Information Systems. From there, my first job was as an auditor with one of the large accounting firms, which led to becoming a CPA. I held a number of accounting and finance jobs in Texas and California prior to making a jump to IT at a global mining company.
Following this, I joined what was Pacific Bell, where my role in IT transitioned to supporting systems development for Human Resources. After several acquisitions, the company was once again called AT&T. When the HR Support was transitioned to Accenture, I spent a couple of years managing projects and developing processes supporting AT&T. In 2011, I joined the HR team at Rackspace Technology. Over the 10 years I spent there, I implemented systems, managed multiple teams, and became the HR Compliance expert for the company.
I think my experience lends itself to helping optimize processes, both internal and client-facing. With a strong background in project management, I can help manage the annual planning cycles so that the work we do here at Grace Lane flows seamlessly, and our team can focus on the things that really matter – our clients.
I live in San Antonio with my husband Chris, a field engineer, and our two orange and white rescue cats, O’Malley and Jasper. Chris has two grown sons, Devin, who lives in Chicago, and Scout who lives here in San Antonio.
I have enjoyed numerous hobbies, from golf, to woodworking, quilting and photography. Recently, I’ve begun to learn the art of bookbinding and am taking painting lessons. I’m also an avid reader of fiction, especially British mysteries and thrillers. I’ve also made quilts for the San Antonio Children’s Hospital, sponsor several missionaries and support local animal shelters.
