As a retired Managing Partner, I wanted to ensure that our clients, and all future clients received the best comprehensive financial and life planning advice. After 45 years of daily immersion in this business, I know first hand how important trust and support can be, and Grace Lane is the delivery vehicle for that promise.
My primary role on the team is to model the concept of Return on Life. I am here to support our clients through the financial planning process and be their advocate. I know how invaluable this is to them, being there to lend support and reassurance is something in which I take great pride. It is a thrill to sit beside clients and help them ask all of the right questions and make sure they fully understand the concepts being discussed.
I have a business and economics degree from the University of Kansas and a law degree from Washburn University School of Law. I have spent more than four decades in this industry, with over 45 years of experience in financial services, most of which I served as Managing Partner for firms in both Wichita, KS and Austin, TX.
For many years I also served on the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross. One of my greatest honors was that I was named their National Volunteer of the Year in 2004. I am still committed to the organization and its mission.
I am mostly retired now and spend much of my time with our kids and grandkids. With four adult children, their spouses, and nine grandchildren, there is nothing more important to my wife Shelley and I than spending time with them and watching them grow.
After 14 years in Austin, family drew us back to our hometown of Wichita, KS. Shelley’s parents are 93, and it is important that we be there and spend as much time with them as we can. Shelley’s folks are perfect examples of how important Life Planning can be, as people live longer and quality of life is paramount.
